Meet Our Guest Ministers
Doug & Peggy Sherman

Doug Sherman and his wife Peggy have been happily married since 1987 and are the parents of four adult children. Doug is the Lead Pastor of GRACE HARVEST CHURCH in Moses Lake, Washington. Doug has served on the pastoral staff since 1988 as a youth pastor, pastor, and as Lead Pastor from 1993 to the present. GRACE HARVEST CHURCH is a healthy and growing church that is reaching out to its community and the nations of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His kingdom. Doug is a member of MINISTERS FELLOWSHIP INTERNATIONAL, a strong network of pastors and various other Christian leaders who have linked together to reach the nations of the earth through strong and healthy local churches. Doug has served as Regional Director and Assistant Regional Director of Ministers Fellowship International in its Intermountain Region. This Region includes Eastern Washington, Idaho and Montana, with over 40 churches and their leaders represented. Doug regularly travels to various local churches to conduct leadership training, prophetic ministry, and encourage the local churches and their leaders. Doug regularly ministers internationally in churches, camps and conferences in a prophetic and leadership training role as well. Doug has traveled to Russia, Finland, China, Canada, Ireland, Mexico, Zimbabwe, and the Philippines to equip the leaders of the national churches of those lands with preaching, teaching and prophetic ministry to strengthen them in the reaching of their own people and nations. Doug’s teaching, preaching and gift ministry challenges, inspires and equips God’s people to seek to know God and fulfill His purpose.
Bob & Sue MacGregor

After twenty years of youth ministry, Bob and Sue MacGregor planted City Harvest Church in Vancouver, Washington, in 1997 with a vision to model a multiplying local church that not only reached its own city but also would raise up missionaries and church plant teams to plant local churches in the U.S. and throughout the world. This resulted in eight churches being planted along with several church planting endeavors taking place in some of the most unreached regions on the earth. During this time, Bob became the Vice-Chairman and International Director of Ministers Fellowship International, a network of thousands of independent pastors globally who are committed to building healthy New Testament local churches to bring their cultures and people groups to Jesus. Bob is also a member of the Apostolic Leadership Team of Ministers Fellowship International and is involved in serving churches throughout the world with his Apostolic and Prophetic ministry. Sue serves with her husband in this capacity and is also used in teaching the Word and Prophetic ministry. In September 2022, Bob and Sue stepped down from their pastoral leadership at City Harvest Church to focus on their ministry to serve pastors and churches to make disciples, develop leaders, and plant churches. This burden has led to His Church Ministries, a non-profit ministry dedicated to resourcing the Church with materials, courses, seminars, podcasts, and blogs at no cost to the Local Church or believers. In addition, His Church Ministries will come alongside local churches and mission agencies to provide coaching and financial assistance to plant local churches.
Some Q & A:
What is a “Prophetic Ministry Conference” all about?
This is a conference that is strategically arranged to make room for our church to hear God’s voice with great clarity and abundance. In planning and organizing this conference, we are making a statement to the Lord that says, “We desire to draw closer to You and to hear Your voice!” The guest ministers that we have invited to the conference are known to be living holy and God-fearing lives, and to operate accurately in the gift of prophecy.
In planning and organizing the conference, we are making room, both in our individual lives and in the structure of the conference, to hear God’s voice. This is a step of faith, recognizing that God is sovereign and He will only speak as He will. But yet, we know according to the Scriptures that “The righteous shall live by faith”, and we believe that God desires to speak to His people.

Can you tell me about the format of the meetings?
Every service is preceded by pre-service prayer. The pre-service prayer will last for 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute transition time prior to the start of the main service.
Every service will begin with a short time of worship, after which the pastor will confer with the guest ministers. If they are ready to move into prophetic ministry, the pastor will choose a person or couple to come up front and sit on the stage, with the guest ministers coming around them to begin praying and laying hands on them. The worship team will close the worship set and will be seated at this time.
The guest ministers will begin to share what the Lord is speaking to them for the individual or couple on the stage. This may last approximately 20 minutes, but may go longer or shorter, depending upon how the Lord is moving. During this time of ministry, the congregation is listening and watching, even taking notes on what is being said.
It is common for the congregation to hear things spoken over people that really resonate with them. There is a sense of wonder that is expressed among people observers of prophetic ministry, when they recognize that the ministers don’t know anything about the candidates, but yet are speaking things that the Lord is revealing to them. This kind of ministry is always for the edification and building up of people, and what is spoken is always edifying and productive, never negative or degrading. The heart of God is to build up His body, the bride of Christ.
When the ministers sense that they have spoken all that the Lord has revealed and inspired them to speak for the individual or couple, the pastor will then close that time of ministry with prayer and blessing, and the worship team will come and lead the congregation into another set of worship – this time more brief than the opening set.
This brief time of worship will be followed by ministry over another individual or couple, and the pattern of worship followed by prophetic ministry will go for several cycles, until the set time for the meeting is completed or the Lord leads otherwise.
Following the last set of prophetic ministry, we have pre-arranged for a guest minister to close each service with a word of teaching and encouragement for the church. This will last approximately 10-15 minutes, and the congregation will then be dismissed.
After each meeting, we have arranged some hospitality elements to facilitate fellowship among the body of Christ.

Will everything be done orderly?
Yes! We believe in walking by the instruction that the Apostle Paul gave to the Corinthian Church, specifically that we operate with a sense of order so that the focus and glory of every service is on God Himself.
We also never want to quench the movement of the Holy Spirit, so our leadership team is constantly open to the move of the Spirit during each service, and is ready to give room for whatever God wants to do.
For further reference, read 1 Corinthians 14:26-33, 40.

Who is this conference for?
This conference is most definitely for the entire Church body. It’s an exciting time for our local church, and we want everyone to be a part of it! Many people have attended a prophetic conference in past years, and although they may not have been called on for concentrated prophetic ministry, yet they left with a sense of awe and wonder at the greatness of God, both built up in their faith and filled up with life-giving words that God spoke to them during the conference.
So, whether you are preparing yourself for specific individualized ministry during the conference or not, this is for you and we hope that everyone can attend throughout the entire weekend.

How should I prepare for the conference?
What a great question! The preparation process leading up to this conference is just as significant and valuable as the conference itself, because in the preparation phase, we are able to clear our hearts of anything that doesn’t honor God, position ourselves to hear from God, and set ourselves apart for God’s purposes.
If you’ll notice, part of the “Leading up to the Conference…” preparation phase listed above includes several days of prayer, fasting, and journaling. Keeping a journal close to you is important, because when God speaks, you want to hear and take note of it! Times of fasting and prayer open us up to hear God’s voice more clearly.
Feel free to share with a close friend or a pastor or leader what God is speaking to you during this significant time. And if you have any questions along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out!

What is the purpose of prophecy in the local church, today?
One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is the gift of Prophecy. There are many examples of it at work in the Scriptures, Old and New Testament alike.
There are several purposes of the prophetic as we see and learn about this gifting in the Scriptures. In particular, take note of the following:
There are several purposes of the prophetic as we see and learn about this gifting in the Scriptures. In particular, take note of the following:
EDIFICATION
God is the giver of good gifts, and prophecy should build believers up in their faith. (1 Corinthians 14:3)
CONFIRMATION
Every word of prophecy is to be tested against the truth and authority of the Scriptures, and the witness of the Holy Spirit in a person’s life. Often, a word of prophecy will simply bring confirmation of what the Holy Spirit has been speaking already. That confirmation is powerful in a believer’s life.
DIRECTION
Many times throughout Scripture, prophets would give direction during a time when key decisions were being made. This occurred in the New Testament as the prophetic team in Antioch gave a word of direction to Paul and Barnabas (Acts 13:1, 2).
EQUIPPING
God has given gifts to His church in order to build up and equip His people for works of ministry. As ministry takes place in this context, believers are strengthened, healed, and shaped to enter more fully into all that God has for them.
IMPARTATION
In 1 Timothy 4:14, Paul reminds Timothy not to neglect the gift that was given to him through prophecy. An impartation of gifts can take place in this setting.
